When I decided to write a review of this book, I didn't realize just how expensive it was to buy now. I bought my copy back in 1997 for about $10 from the bike shop where I worked. This book seems to go for about $125.00 and up now. Wow!
I wish I could tell you that this book was crap, and that you therefore aren't missing anything; don't bother parting with your hundred-plus bucks. I can't do that. The book is brilliant. Bob Roll has an uncanny way of telling a story in the most profane - and most hilarious - way possible. If you can find a copy of this book somewhere - such as a yard sale, or NOS at a small bike shop - buy it.
